Last week, the mighty bear awaken and sent the market into bloodshed. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 436 points to close at 10173 (4.1%), and closed 5.5% off its recent 52-week high. The S&P 500 vomited 45 points to close at 1091 (3.9%) and 5% from a recent high. The Nasdaq Composite tumbled 82 points to close at 2205 (3.6%).

Last week, the mighty Bear awaken on the last day of the week to spoil a good four-day run. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fall 9 points to close at 10,609 (0.1%) followed by the S&P 500 Index lost 9 points to close at 1136 (0.8%) and the Nasdaq Composite lost 30 points to close at 2287 (1.2%).

Last year the market went through a hell of a ride as it plunge in Q1 and pick itself up for the rest of the year 2009. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gain 1652 points to close at 10428 (18.8%), one of the greatest run in the history followed by the S&P500 Index gained 212 points to close at 1115 (23%) and the Nasdaq Composite gained gained 692 points to close at 2269 (43.8%).

Last week the scary news of the Dubai World going to default their loans had sent the market in the world in a tailspin. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 9 points to close at 10,309 (0.1%), snapping a three-week winning streak followed by the S&P500 Index gained 0.1 points to close at 1091 and the Nasdaq Composite lost 8 points to close at 2138 (0.3%).

Last week, the U.S. market headed off with a good start on Monday as the Dollar tumbled on the speeches of the IMF Official. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 247 points to close at 10,270 (2.5%) followed by the S&P 500 Index rose 24 points to close at 1093 (2.3%) and the Nasdaq Composite added 56 points to close at 2168 (2.6%) for the week.

Last week, the market celebrated the Fed’s decision of keep the interest rate at a historical level of less than 0.25%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 310 points to close at 10023 (3.2%) followed by the S&P500 rise 33 points to close at 1069 (3.2%) and the Nasdaq Composite increase 67 points to close at 2112 (3.3%).

Last week, the market tumbled as risk aversion returned. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 259 points to close at 9713 (2.6%) followed by the S&P500 Index which declined by 44 points to close at 1036 (4%) and the Nasdaq Composite dumped 109 points to close at 2045 (5.1%).

Last week, the market fell after two weeks of gains. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 24 points to close at 9972 (-0.2%) followed by the S&P500 Index which tumbled 7 points to close at 1080 (-0.7%) and the Nasdaq Composite closed at 2154 after falling 2 points (-0.1%).
